Sems and Specials Inc. now has the capability to manufacture spaced thread screws for thermoplastics. These screws are designed to be used in a wide variety of applications from appliances to power tools to telephones. The deep root and sharp-angled threads help to decrease installation torque, offer higher resistance to pullout, minimize stress cracking, improve resistance to vibration and allow for smaller boss sizes. Screws are designed to be used with thermoplastics with a flexural modulus around 2,420 MPa to 6,250 MPa (250,000 to 900,000 psi). See back page for technical specifications.

• Sizes: range from M2.2 – M5 and lengths up to 50mm.

• Material: Through hardened steels and 18-8 (302 HQ) stainless steels.

• Head styles: Round Washer Head, Pan Head, Hex and Hex Washer, Cheese Head. Countersunk head styles are not recommended for thermoplastics due to their expanding properties.

• Drives: Cross recess, 6 lobe, 1A, Square and others upon request.

• Sems: Screws can be assembled with most washer styles standard or special, including multiple washer assemblies.
